Illustrator Love #2: Becca Stadtlander

Becca Stadtlander is an illustrator originally from Kentucky and a recent graduate from MICA with a BFA in illustration. She creates not only illustrations but also patterns and her work seems to incorporate a myriad of influences (perhaps: Frida Kahlo, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Paul Gaugin). There’s certainly a 19th century European feel though something about the patterns, the marks place the work in the contemporary arena.

I found Becca via the excellent blog DesignWorkLife. Make sure to check out Becca’s blog too.
